Sanwo-Olu, Gbajabiamila to launch Archbishop Aggey Foundation

Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the Speaker, House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila are to launch Catholic Archbishop foundation, the J.K.A Aggey Foundation on October 29.

According to Chairperson, event planning committee, Mrs Abimbola Iseyemi Hastrup, the foundation is established to support the socio-economic growth of the society in memory of the first African Catholic Archbishop.

She said, “J.K.A Aggey Foundation is established to improve on the standard of living of the people in the society.

The foundation is to support the society in the provision of quality healthcare, charity drive to orphanage homes, eradicate poverty, youth development, sports and community base support, ecumenism, educational development, collaboration with government at all levels, international, national, and local NGOs.

It is working on the reconstruction of J.K.A Aggey Technical College in Mushin, Lagos and upgrade of the Aggey Football field to a mini stadium. The foundation is being put in place in the USA and Togo and the UK chapter will come soon. To make this a reality, I am urging Nigerians to join hands and support the activities of the foundation.

The event which will also feature fundraising hold on the 29th of October, 2022 at the prestigious St. Gregory’s College, Ikoyi, Lagos will be chaired by the granddaughter of the Darocha, Mrs Cecilia Kehinde Shomolu. The Gregorians, Anthonians in Esure Ijebu Mushin and Holy Child are not left out.”

Other dignitaries expected to grace the launch and fundraiser include Rt. Hon. Mudashiru Obasa, Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Dr. Muiz Adeyemi Banire, SAN, Hon. Seye Oladejo, Hon. Yemi Alli MHR, Mr and Mrs Jane Ebong, Mrs Cecilia Fashola, mother of Honourable Minister of Works, Dr and Mrs John Abebe, The Daregos, Dr and Mrs John Abebe, Engr. Ero, Otunba and Mrs .Olumide Oshunshina, Sir and Lady Steve Omojafor and many more.
